Fabien Ghirotto - Drums, Composition

Formed in 2022, the Fabien Ghirotto Quartet draws on a variety of influences ranging from Miles Davis second quintet to the more contemporary developments of the New York's next generation (Ambrose Akinmusire, Immanuel Wilkins).

The compositions are designed to leave plenty of room for improvisation, allowing the musicians of the quartet to express their creativity in eclectic arrangements that are sometimes intimate, sometimes abundant. The presence of the bass clarinet in the ensemble creates many possibilities of timbre and allows the ensemble's sound palette to be strengthened to offer a singular sound.

The listener can appreciate the cohesion of the musicians on stage. The result is original, nuanced music based on interaction.
